UK-based performance materials developer Texon is set to debut a new insole product made from 100% recycled content at Milanese trade fair Lineapelle in September, the company has announced.

Made using fusion-bonding technology, without the need for chemicals or water, Texon described the innovation as “a game-changing sustainable solution” for Strobel applications in footwear. The material can also be supplied in net form to help lower waste, it added.

More details will be made known to Lineapelle attendees, who will also be invited to peruse other technologies from the Texon portfolio, including ProWeave and Verde, plus Sportflex Eco and Bio toe puffs, Kabru insoles and both Halo and Reform 2.0 styles of heel counter.
