La Rioja-based footwear manufacturer Grupo Hergar has said it achieved revenues of around €35 million in 2021, but that it is on the way to returning to pre-pandemic levels. Its revenues in 2019 were €45 million.

Chief executive, Basilio García, has told Spanish media that one of the ways the group will seek to grow in the months and years ahead will be through increasing sales outside Spain of footwear under its Callaghan and Gorila brands.

He said Japan and the United Kingdom were of particular interest to the Spanish company.
