Solar for sustainability at Sadesa
Tanning group Sadesa is finalising the second phase of installing solar panels at its Kabinbury facility in Thailand.
The Argentina-based group, which produces 17 million square-feet of leather per month at seven tanneries in Uruguay, Paraguay, Thailand and its home country, has an ongoing policy to reduce its environmental footprint and is continually looking for ways to reduce its use of water and energy.
It completed a first phase of installing solar panels in Thailand last year. The second phase will bring the area covered by solar panels to more than 8,500 square-metres.
