A first for Isa TanTec
Leather manufacturing group Isa TanTec has partnered with Land To Market, a programme set up by non-profit organisation The Savory Institute to help consumers choose products verified to have come from regenerative agriculture projects.
Land To Market uses a protocol called Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV), which The Savory Institute developed with Michigan State University, Texas A&M, Ovis 21, The Nature Conservancy and others to provide buyers with assurances that they could choose products from farms that work to improve the soil, water, air and biodiversity.
ISA TanTec has worked with Land To Market to certify that some of the hides it sources in the US come from regenerative cattle farms. The tanning group said this new partnership will strengthen its existing commitments to transparency, traceability and accountability. It is Land To Market’s first partner in the tanning industry.
