Additional role for Conseil National du Cuir president
The president of France’s Conseil National du Cuir, Frank Boehly, has been chosen to lead a wider creative sector body, France Industries Créatives.
He will take up this new role alongside his presidency of the leather industry body.
France Industries Créatives seeks to represent the interests of a wide range of sectors, including wood, watch-making, garment making and leather, with a desire to preserve high levels of savoir-faire something that they all have in common.
A round of presidential and legislative elections concluded in France on June 19. In his initial remarks as the president of France Industries Créatives, Mr Boehly said: “I call on the new government and all recently elected members of parliament to help us sustain our companies by making it easier for small businesses to be competitive, by favouring job creation and by valuing the artisan savoir-faire that has made ‘Made in France’ a prestigious label throughout the world.”
