Children’s shoe charity to receive $1m worth of help from Caleres
Footwear group Caleres has announced assistance worth $1 million to the Soles4Souls charity, which provides shoes for homeless children.
Chief executive, Diane Sullivan, said the company would donate $500,000 in cash and $500,000 worth of shoes.
The shoes the group will donate will include athletic shoes for homeless children to receive in time for the start of the new school year in September. The first product donation will happen this summer and will benefit children in St Louis, where Caleres has its headquarters, and where there are an estimated 17,000 children experiencing homelessness.
