Brand Finance reveals footwear’s most valuable brands for 2022
London-based market research firm Brand Finance has named its top brands for the fashion industry for 2022.
Footwear brands to feature in the top 20 include Nike at number one, adidas in fifth place, Anta in seventeenth and Puma in nineteenth.
Luxury brands Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and Hermès, all of whom produce shoes, also appear on the list, in positions two, three, four and six respectively.
Brand Finance studies measures such as brand strength, customer research and competitor benchmarking and links these to “commercial outcomes” to come up with a notional valuation for each brand on the list.
It puts Nike’s value at $33 billion and Louis Vuitton’s at $23.4 billion, Gucci’s at $18.1 billion and Chanel’s at $15.3 billion. Its value for adidas was $14.6 billion.
