All go for the Desma House Fair
Footwear technology developer Desma has confirmed that its House Fair exhibition will take place as an in-person event on September 26 and 27.
Desma usually runs the exhibition every two years at its headquarters in Achim, near Bremen, showcasing its own latest technology alongside innovations from select partners in the footwear manufacturing value chain.
Typically, the fair attracts more than 50 exhibitors and around 800 visitors, but it last ran in 2018.
The company had to cancel the 2020 House Fair because of covid-19 and took the decision to hold it in 2021 instead. An added attraction of holding the exhibition then was that Desma also celebrated its 75th anniversary last year.
However, a few months before the start, it announced that the ongoing restrictions imposed by the pandemic meant it had to cancel again.
With in-person events now taking place again all over Europe and in many other parts of the world, Desma is confident the House Fair will face no further setbacks and will go ahead as planned in September.
The technology on show will include the latest innovations in direct soling, new automation tools and customisation solutions.
