September dates confirmed for Simac
Italy’s tanning technology providers’ association, Assomac, has confirmed autumn dates for the Simac-Tanning Tech exhibition in 2022.
The event will next take place in Milan from September 21 to 23.
Assomac said important fashion industry-facing leather events, by which it meant Lineapelle, Micam and Mipel, will take place around the same time and that holding Simac-Tanning Tech in the same week would create “a focal point of excellence” for the leather supply chain.
Simac-Tanning Tech had run for a number of years at the time of the February edition of Lineapelle. Covid-19 caused a series of cancellations of many industry events in 2020 and the early part of 2021, but the technology events went ahead, with Lineapelle, in September 2021.
Organising another edition of Simac-Tanning Tech just five months later would have been a considerable logistical challenge.
Between now and the next edition of Simac-Tanning Tech, Assomac said it would use digital tools to offer exhibitors and visitors “sustainable and safe opportunities to connect”.
