Puma partners pushes up production in Argentina
Argentinean footwear producer Unisol is to invest $4 million in its factory in La Rioja, Argentina, to expand its production capacity to 2.5 million pairs of shoes per year.
Unisol is a long-standing outsource manufacturing partner of Puma’s in Argentina. In recent years, the company has closed two factories in the north-western province of La Rioja, one in Chilecito and the other in Sanagasta.
It has said the expansion at its remaining factory, which is in the provincial capital, also called La Rioja, will create 100 new jobs from January.
