Footwear materials developer BASF achieved revenues of €19.7 billion in the first quarter, an increase of more than 40% compared to the same quarter last year.

Compared to the same quarter in 2020, sales volumes rose by 6%, but prices had risen by 36%, the group’s chairman, Dr Martin Brudermüller, explained.
