Simac is sticking with September slot
Italy’s main industry body for footwear and leather technology developers, Assomac, has said the success of Simac-Tanning Tech in September was “beyond expectations”, according to feedback it received from exhibitors.
The events went ahead in Milan from September 22-24 in a face-to-face format for the first time since February 2020.
Assomac said it was proud that the events marked a restart for technology suppliers to the footwear and leather manufacturing sector.
Across the three days, there were just under 5,000 registered attendees, with 67% of them from Italy and the other 33% from a range of 50 countries.
The association confirmed that it is keeping the autumn date for Simac-Tanning Tech, which means it will not return to its previously regular February dates.
