The Paipo’s premium full-grain leather is sourced from tanneries that are gold or silver rated by the Leather Working Group and the footbed is injected with bio-based EVA made from renewable sugar cane (with 51% bio content).

Paul LaBarbera, senior director of footwear design at Reef, said: "The Paipo combines old world craftsmanship with hi-tech manufacturing processes. Our goal was to integrate a functional wood component that would meet the highest standard of quality, durability and finishing, but like a piece of furniture would become even more beautiful with age."
