La Rioja-based footwear manufacturing group Hergar has told local media that it will begin its post-covid recovery in 2021 but will not be able to match pre-pandemic levels yet.

Grupo Hergar makes shoes in Arnedo under brand names including Callaghan and Gorila. It achieved sales revenues of €45 million in 2019 but, as a result of covid, the figure for 2020 was a little over €30 million.

The company employs around 180 people in Arnedo and has the capacity to make 2,000 pairs per day there.
