‘Most important’ Italian fashion event in Korea to run in mid-July
Italian Fashion Days in Korea, which describes itself as the “most important” fashion exhibition for made in Italy products on the Korean Peninsula, is to be held between July 14 and 16 at High Street Italia in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
The event has been spearheaded by Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), in collaboration with Italy-based fashion fair organiser Ente Moda Italia (EMI), Italian footwear manufacturers’ association Assocalzaturifici and textile and fashion federation Sistema Moda Italia (SMI), among others.
A total of 39 Italian-made brands are due to participate, including several footwear and leathergoods brands, such as Tuscany’s Boldrini Selleria, Lombardy’s Fusella, Puglia’s Thera’s footwear and the Marche region’s Design Italian Shoes (DIS), a brand which specialises in custom, handmade men’s shoes made with local raw materials.
