Leather manufacturing group ISA TanTec has announced that an expansion programme is already under way at TransAsia TanTec. Production began at this, the second of two tanneries the group has in Vietnam, last year.

It said it had begun a project to expand TransAsia TanTec’s capacity to 5 million square-feet of leather per month.

ISA TanTec said it aims to have the project complete in the first quarter of 2022, “ready for the next peak season”. It said it regarded the expansion project as a necessary step because it is preparing for “a strong year” in 2022.
