Ecco opens first Prime store in Seoul
Danish shoe manufacturer and retailer Ecco recently opened its first experiential Prime concept store in the Jamsil-dong neighbourhood of South Korea’s capital, Seoul.
Located within the locality’s Lotte department store, leather interior elements such as wall panels and seating - all produced in Ecco tanneries - more than hint at the company’s area of expertise.
A spokesperson for Ecco Korea told reporters that the store showcased the brand’s “premium value”.
In addition to footwear, leather handbags and accessories are all displayed and available for purchase.
To inaugurate its new address, Ecco will hold special in-store events between June 26 and 27, including a “do it yourself” experience zone where shoppers will be invited to make their own wallets and notebooks with leather produced in Ecco tanneries. A leather tag engraving service will also be offered.
