New CEO to take over at Wolverine at year end
Outdoor footwear group Wolverine World Wide has announced that Brendan Hoffman, whom it appointed as company president in September, will take over as chief executive at the end of 2021.

Wolverine said on appointing him as president last year that he would initially work with current chief executive and company president, Blake Krueger, and “transition over a period of time” into the chief executive role. That period of time will last until the end of this year.

The group paid tribute to Mr Krueger, who has worked at the company for the last 28 years. It said that in his time as chief executive, a post he took up in 2007, he had transformed Wolverine “from a traditional footwear wholesaler into a consumer-obsessed, digital-focused growth company with one of the world’s largest portfolios of footwear and lifestyle brands”.

He will continue to be involved. After the handover he will become executive chairman, will continue to lead the board of directors and will work with Mr Hoffman on “key international and strategic initiatives”.
Before joining Wolverine, Brendan Hoffman was chief executive of fashion brand Vince Holding.
