Ugg sets disability inclusion targets
Sheepskin footwear brand Ugg has joined The Valuable 500, a movement that describes itself as “putting disability inclusion on the business leadership agenda”.
The Deckers brand has set targets including redesigning its classic products with specialised modifications for easier access (see picture).
It will host innovation workshops on inclusion and diversity for its design staff; offer extra support for employees or their families with disabilities; and collaborate with “accessibility influencers” across its platforms.
Andrea O’Donnell, president of Ugg and & Koolaburra by Ugg, said: “We must do our part in ensuring the world is a more inclusive place for those with disabilities.
“By partnering with The Valuable 500, we are making a promise and putting disability inclusion as a fundamental focus.”
