The Japan Leather and Leathergoods Industry Association (JLIA) has announced that it will set up a Japanese pavilion at an event called In Style, which will take place in Taipei in October.

JLIA said the event would present member companies with a good opportunity to promote Japan’s leather products in the international marketplace. Companies have until June 16 to apply to take part. From these applications, JLIA has said it will select six companies to travel to Taipei to take part.

Participants in the JLIA delegation can be producers of shoes, bags, belts, gloves and clothing. The products they display at In Style must contain at least 60% leather in the material mix. Products must either be made in Japan or be made using Japanese leather.
