Materials and chemicals group BASF has reported revenues of €19.4 billion for the first quarter of 2021. This represents an increase of 16% year on year.

In the materials segment, sales rose by 20% to €3.4 billion. BASF said this was “considerably higher” than the figure for the same quarter in 2020. It singled out the performance of its monomers division.
