Confidence growing in Indonesian economy
Business information provider IHS Markit has registered a reading of 52.2 on its purchasing managers’ index (PMI) for Indonesia for January, up from 51.3 in December.
The organisation said this reading was among the best it has recorded for Indonesia in the last decade. It said confidence in the Indonesian economy at the start of 2021 was at its highest in four years.
The government has said it expects the manufacturing sector in Indonesia to grow by 4% this year.
