Igedo, the organiser of Gallery Shoes & Fashion, has announced the postponement of the first 2021 edition of the Düsseldorf exhibition.

On January 12, the German government announced that further measures to combat the spread of covid-19 were likely in the weeks ahead.

The following day, Igedo said it was postponing the exhibition.

Gallery Shoes & Fashion was to run from March 7-9, but Igedo has postponed it until after Easter and has said it will run from April 18-20.

Managing director, Ulrike Kähler, said she believed delaying the event by six weeks was the best way “to ensure that we are able to get at least one physical get-together off the ground in the first half of 2021”.
