Simac-Tanning Tech postponed until second half of 2021
Machinery manufacturers’ association Assomac has said that the 2021 edition of its annual Simac-Tanning Tech will not take place in the first quarter of the year, but will be rescheduled for the second half.
Assomac usually schedules Simac-Tanning Tech to run concurrently with Lineapelle. The next edition of Lineapelle will run from March 20-24, alongside finished-product events Micam and Mipel. Assomac has now announced that it will wait until later in the year rather than adding Simac-Tanning Tech to the March schedule.
It said covid-19 looked likely to have an effect on visitors in the early part of 2021, especially those travelling to host city, Milan, from outside the European Union.
“We hope that the decision of identifying a more favourable period for this exhibition will guarantee the safest conditions for all participants and visitors,” it said, “and ensure an event with the best business opportunities.”
