Assomac, Italy’s national association of tanning and footwear machinery manufacturers, has a new president. 

At its general assembly for 2020 on November 25, it named Maria Vittoria Brustia as the person to take over from Gabriella Marchioni Bocca in the role. Ms Brustia is president of Brustia-Alfameccanica, a Vigevano-based technology provider that specialises in footwear machinery, especially machines for heel-fixing and backpart- and toe-moulding.

In the course of the meeting, the chief executive of tanning machinery manufacturer Bergi, Mauro Bergozza, was elected as one of Assomac’s vice-presidents, as was Cristiano Paccagnella, chief executive of leather finishing and stitching machine provider Omac.
