New Balance adds Superfeet insoles and 3D customisation

03/02/2020
A collaboration with the 3D printing arm of HP and Superfeet, which makes over-the counter insoles and footwear, is giving New Balance customers a new option for insoles.

Trainers’ insoles will be built on the signature foundation shape of Superfeet. Customers will have the option of using off-the-shelf insoles or creating custom versions.

Through the use of Fitstation by HP + Volumental, 3D scanning and gait analysis technology, New Balance custom insoles will feature 3D-printed-caps manufactured on HP Jet Fusion printers. They will then be assembled into finished insoles at the Flowbuilt Manufacturing facility in Ferndale, Washington.

The agreement includes insoles for shoes sold in North America and parts of Asia.
