Brazilian tanning industry association, CICB, said two of its member companies, JBS Couros and Curtume Partner, travelled to Chennai for the 2020 India International Leather Fair (February 1-3).

The Brazilian delegation made the journey with confidence, having secured growth of more than 50% in the volume of hide and leather exports to India in 2019.

In total, leather exports from Brazil to India grew by 53.1% in volume last year, reaching 6.2 million square-metres, and by 21.4% in value, reaching $20.6 million.
