French footwear label Adieu has collaborated with Japanese label Undercover on a metal-plated leather dress shoe.

The influence of fashion designer Jun Takahashi is evident in the shoe’s distinctive features, including a thick midsole with pyramid-shaped studs; but what stands out the most is the way the smooth buffed cowhide is capped with a metal plate.

The metal plating over the toe box of the leather uppers come in two styles. Black leather gets silver plating and the burgundy leather uppers (pictured) have a gold plate. The shoes retail for around $1400.
