Footwear manufacturing technology provider Desma has announced that its in-house and supplier innovation exhibition, the House Fair, will not go ahead as planned in September. Instead, it will take place at the company’s headquarters at Achim, near Bremen, in September 2021.

Desma normally hosts the House Fair every two years. Postponing the 2020 event breaks that sequence, but it said that social distancing requirements would make it impossible for it to host exhibitors and guests “in the usual way” and that, therefore, it preferred to wait until next year.

It said the 2021 event would coincide with the 75th anniversary of the company’s launch and would make the House Fair “a very special event”.
