Fila debuts collections at Australian Open
Men's and women's collections inspired by the sports brand’s Italian heritage will debut at the Australian Open, worn by Fila-sponsored tennis players at the year’s first Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne.

Both the men’s and women’s lines will include a UV-blocking sleeve top, along with a colourful selection of tops and bottoms. The men’s collection, called Legend, will feature a Chinese red, pacific and white palette on polos and drawstring shorts; the women’s, called Colorful Play, uses “tropical hues of electrifying blue, green citrus and pops of ripe cantaloupe” on racer back tops and skirts.

All of the Fila-sponsored players will wear the Axilus 2 Energized trainer, which has an anti-slide nylon lining, moulded forefoot cage and heel cup, moulded sockliner and TPU midfoot stabiliser. The company has described the trainer as Fila’s “most popular performance tennis shoe ever” and that it “propelled the brand’s roster of sponsored players to unparalleled success during the 2019 season, including a career-best year for Ash Barty”.
