Capri acquires Tuscan factory to make shoes for Jimmy Choo and Versace

Luxury group Capri Holdings, the parent company of Jimmy Choo, Versace and Michael Kors, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Italian shoe manufacturer Alberto Gozzi.

Based in Pistoia in Tuscany, Alberto Gozzi has been producing high-quality footwear for a number of prominent brands since its launch in 1974.

Capri said as part of the announcement that, under its ownership, the Alberto Gozzi factory will focus immediately on making footwear for Jimmy Choo and Versace, with the prospect of adding production of shoes for Michael Kors at a later date.
