French luxury and fashion sector to recruit 10,000 people per year
France’s luxury and fashion groups have said they need to recruit 10,000 people into technical roles across their supply chains each year “to remain competitive and creative, and to maintain the excellence of French savoir-faire”.

To help promote craftsmanship roles in sectors including leather, leathergoods and footwear manufacturing, the luxury and fashion industry has announced a widespread recruitment campaign.

It will aim to interest school-leavers, graduates, professionals looking to change careers and other job-seekers in working in the industry.

There will be a promotional film, a dedicated website, testimonies from people already working in craftsmanship roles in fashion and luxury companies and a jobs board.

The campaign will be called ‘Savoir Pour Faire’, which translates as ‘To Know In Order To Do’.
