List confirms shoes from China will be hit by tariffs
The US Hide, Skin and Leather Association has confirmed that a range of leather products will be among the $300 billion worth of goods imported from China that will be subject to an extra 10% tariff from September 1.

President Donald Trump announced at the start of August that trade talks with China had progressed too slowly and said the US would impose the 10% tariff on this new set of products.

Imports from China on the list include leather footwear of all kinds; athletic shoes and golf shoes containing leather were no exception.

Many other footwear products are on the list, including sports shoes, ski boots and waterproof footwear.
