Italian athletic footwear firms achieve €1.5 billion turnover

Italy’s sports equipment manufactrurers’ association, Assosport, has reported that the sector’s 911 manufacturers in Italy achieved revenues in excess of €8 billion in 2018, an increase of 3.4% compared to the previous year.

Assosport said sales of athletic footwear contributed 18% of this total, bringing in just under €1.5 billion.
