Louis Vuitton accuses Belle International of design infringement

French luxury brand Louis Vuitton is taking legal action against Hong Kong-based group Belle International, alleging that it copied one of its sneaker designs. 

According to local media, Louis Vuitton alleges that sneakers that Belle released in July 2018 are an imitation of the Archlight trainers it released as part of its spring-summer 2018 collection.

Court documents show that Louis Vuitton has demanded that two Belle subsidiaries cease all infringements, remove the products from stores and other platforms, and hand over or destroy the alleged copies. No court date has yet been set to address the case.
