CLE urges Indian companies to attend Vietnam footwear event

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) will lead a delegation of Indian companies to the Shoes & Leather Vietnam exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, which runs from July 10-12.

The previous edition of this event attracted 700 exhibitors from 27 different countries. India was one of ten countries to have a pavilion there. Around 10,000 visitors attended over the three days, representing 33 different countries.

CLE said on announcing participation at the 2019 event that the value of India’s exports of finished leather to Vietnam increased from $85 million in 2013 to $97.9 million in 2017, with an average growth rate of 3.3% in the five-year period.
