Tunisia to celebrate leather centre’s fiftieth anniversary

01/04/2019
Tunisia’s national centre for leather and footwear, the CNCC, is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2019. The centre first opened its doors in 1969, under the tutelage of the ministry of industry.

It set out immediately to provide advice and technical assistance to manufacturers of leather and footwear in the North African country to help them boost productivity, competitiveness and quality.

As part of its celebration of the anniversary, the leather and footwear sector in Tunisia will hold a festival called National Leather Days from April 24-27. At the event, which will take place in central Tunis, CNCC will publish the results of a new strategic study into the state of the  industry in Tunisia.
