China achieves exports of $2.5 trillion in 2018
Official figures show that China achieved export revenues of just under $2.5 trillion in 2018, an increase on the previous year of 9.9%.

In the course of the year, Chinese importers, across all sectors of the economy, brought goods with a value of $2.1 trillion into the country; this represents an increase of 15.8%.

These figures mean China achieved a trade surplus of $351.8 billion in 2018, a decline of 16.2% compared to the previous year.
