Cordwainers prepares for retirement of its clerk
17/12/2018
In a piece in its in-house publication ‘The Cordwainer’, the organisation said much of its achievements in recent years have been down to Mr Miller’s hard work during his tenure.
James Calder, who has Master of the Cordwainers when Mr Miller assumed the position of clerk, said he considered the fact that they had found themselves working together in July 2007 as “a matter of great fortune for me”. He paid tribute to Mr Miller’s “unparalleled zeal and enthusiasm” to drive the Company forward during his time in the role.
The Cordwainers has announced that his replacement as clerk is Penny Graham, a former Royal Navy officer with a background in school governance and human resources. She joined the Company on November 5 and has said she is looking forward to taking on the mantle of clerk from Mr Miller.
