Tata International picked up first prize for shipments of finished leather in financial year 2017-2018 at an export awards ceremony that India’s Council for Leather Exports held in New Delhi at the end of November. Federal commerce and industry minister, Suresh Prabhu, was the guest of honour.

The Dewas-based leather manufacturer also picked up awards for overall exports and for leather footwear.

Commenting on the awards, the company’s head of leather, Vembu Muthukumaran, said: “We are honoured that our efforts have been recognised and I would like to congratulate our team for this achievement. Such awards reiterate our commitment to bring the best to our stakeholders through innovation.”
