A delegation of 33 companies from Argentina’s footwear sector visited Chile at the end of October to explore opportunities to export their products to the country.

Led by Argentina’s minister for manufacturing and work, Dante Sica, the footwear companies took part in meetings with their Chilean counterparts and exhibited their products, according to local media reports.

Among the objectives of this visit was the development of a joint strategy to support small businesses and to build stronger trade links between the shoe sectors of the two nations.

Mr Sica was quoted as saying that exports “are central to our productive policies and are a way to generate high quality jobs”.
