Second Spanish national footwear congress to take place in Elda

Not-for-profit body Cluster Calzado Innovación (CCI), made up of 55 footwear companies in and around Elda and Petrer in Spain, is organising a second Spanish national footwear congress, to be held in Elda on October 19. The first event was in 2016.

The theme for the congress will be ‘From concept to market’. It will attempt to cover “the most significant advances that the footwear industry has seen in recent years in terms of sustainability and emerging technologies that can transform our sector”.

Moves to digital manufacturing, customisation, comfort, health and new models for bringing Spanish shoes to market will all feature prominently in the programme.
