More than 80 companies are expected to participate in the first Philippine Leather, Garment Industry and Fabric Expo, which will take place in Pasay City from August 23-26. 

They will include local manufacturers of garments, leathergoods and footwear, as well as companies from China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam. 

The organisers have said the exhibition aims to showcase the capabilities of Philippine manufacturers. They also hope it will help these companies link up with important global brands.
