The latest issue of World Footwear is now available
The July/August 2018 issue of World Footwear magazine is now available. The full e-zine can be accessed here.

This issue puts the spotlight on athletic shoes. It includes details of a new cushioning technology that Under Armour has developed in collaboration with chemicals group Dow. We also take a closer look at adidas’ latest project involving recycled ocean plastic and we talk to the founder of start-up boat shoe brand about the challenges of choosing materials and manufacturing partners.

An extensive technical offering includes articles examining the issue of PAHs and the role of thermoplastic elastomers in athletic footwear. It also contains a round-up of the 2018 UITIC Congress in Porto and an in-depth look at how Brooks Running Company is using FitStation technology to create a new highly customisable shoe.

In our Love of Shoes section, we include a profile of specialist running shoe brand Saucony, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2018 and we hear from Chris Hillyer, innovation director of footwear group Deckers, about the opportunities that 3D technology could open up for shoe companies.
