Micro-Fresh founder, Byron Dixon, receives OBE

The founder of Micro-Fresh, a Leicester-based company that specialises in solutions to stop mould from forming in footwear, Byron Dixon, is one of the business figures to receive the UK’s Order of the British Empire (OBE) in an honours list published in June.

He set up Micro-Fresh in 2009 and has grown the company consistently and expanded it internationally.

Mr Dixon said he had been surprised and delighted to receive the OBE and added that the news had provoked “a fantastic response” from Micro-Fresh’s partners, suppliers and customers around the world.
