Growth for Russian footwear group

Obuv Rossii Group, one of the largest footwear retailers in Russia, increased its revenue by 8.4% in 2017, reaching almost $190 million. Last year was its first year as a public company.

It sold 2 million pairs of shoes in 2017, an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. Around 75% of those shoes were sourced from external suppliers.

By the end of the year, the group had 535 stores in more than 150 cities in Russia, with most stores being operated directly by the company and the remaining 113 by franchise operators.

Obuv Rossii also has two factories of its own in the region around Novosibirsk in Sibera, making mid-priced shoes for the market. Its production capacity is 500,000 pairs per year.
