16/03/2018
The new facility, which it calls the Asics Innovation Hub, aims to support the growth of new European companies that focus on sports and healthy living. It will focus on the development of new services, products, technologies, methodologies and customer experiences.
With this new centre, Asics hopes to stimulate innovation and knowledge sharing that helps it achieve its goal of encouraging a more active global population.
The first initiative to come out of the Asics Innovation Hub is known as ‘Tenkan-Ten’, taken from a Japanese expression that means ‘turning point’. Its objective is to act as a growth catalyst for start-up companies related to the sports and physical activity industries. There will be emphasis on the sustainable development of these companies.
Start-ups that wish to be part of this scheme can present their proposals until June 30. The top 10 proposals will be selected and their companies will work at the innovation centre for four months and receive a grant of €30,000 to develop their ideas.
