President opens Sri Lanka footwear and leather fair

Sri Lanka’s Footwear & Leather Products Manufacturers Association hosted the tenth edition of the Footwear & Leather Fair in the country’s capital, Colombo, from February 2-4.

This year, the country’s president, Maithripala Sirisena, presided at the event’s formal opening.

A total of 230 exhibitors took place, showcasing Sri Lankan-made finished products, but also raw materials, components and machinery from other countries, most notably India.
