Sheehan Associates celebrates 25 years in business

Chief executive, Donna Sheehan, has told sportstextiles that, one of the important changes the company has had to face up to during this time is the high levels of flexibility a globalised value chain imposes on suppliers.
She said: “Over time, we have had to be very nimble to respond quickly to the needs of the marketplace. When footwear and apparel manufacturing made a strategic shift to Asia, we did as well, while also maintaining our domestic manufacturing.”
Ms Sheehan added that the structure of the brands the company works with has also become more complex in the course of the last 25 years. “A sales call was once confined to a single person or two at a brand,” she said. “Today, we call on brand managers, material managers, designers, development and production managers, sometimes marketing people or even senior executives, both here and abroad. So the sales process is a bit more complicated and challenging but we continue to rise to meet that challenge on a daily basis.”
