Le Marche manufacturer completes order for size 57 shoes

An artisan footwear manufacturer in the Italian region of Le Marche recently completed an order for shoes from Brahim Takioullah, officially the man with the biggest feet in the world.

Born in Morocco but now living in France, Mr Takioullah’s feet have been confirmed as the biggest of anyone on earth by Guinness World Records, with the left foot measuring 38.1 centimetres and the right 37.5 centimetres. Brahim Takioullah is also the second-tallest person living today: he is 246 centimetres tall, compared to 251 centimetres, the height of record-holder, Sultan Kösen from Turkey.

Footwear manufacturer Worland, based in the town of Monte San Giusto, had to manufacture a special last to make Mr Takioullah’s shoes and had to source a special sole, but it managed to complete the order and deliver the shoes to the customer’s home in Paris.

The shoes are size 57.
